How to use Networo
Networo is a private net worth tracker. You add what you own and owe, update the values over time, and it builds a beautiful trend of your financial progress. Here's how to get going in a few minutes, no bank login required.
1. Add your assets and liabilities
Go to Assets & Liabilities and add what you own (cash, savings, investments, retirement, property, vehicles) and what you owe (loans, credit cards, mortgages). Give each one a current value. You can also bulk-import from a CSV in Settings, download the template first so the columns match.
2. Update values over time
Whenever a balance changes, open the item and update its value. Networo never overwrites history: every change is saved as a timestamped snapshot, so your trend chart builds up an accurate record. Updating once a month is the sweet spot.
3. Read your dashboard
The dashboard shows your net worth (assets minus liabilities), a trend chart over a month, a quarter, a year, or all time, category breakdowns, your goal progress, and a cash-flow view. Use Customize to rearrange or hide widgets.
4. Set a goal and watch milestones
In Settings, set a target net worth (and optional date). The dashboard tracks your progress, and you'll unlock milestones (and optional celebratory emails) as your net worth, savings, and debt payoff hit key marks.
5. Use the planning tools
Debt Payoff compares avalanche vs. snowball strategies. The FIRE calculator projects your path to financial independence. The What-If planner lets you model changes (saving more, a windfall, a market dip). The AI Coach answers questions about your own numbers.
6. Optional: connect a bank
Manual entry is always the default and nothing connects to your bank unless you turn it on. If you want automatic balance updates, enable bank sync in Settings and securely link an account through Plaid, it's optional and you can disconnect anytime.
7. Reminders and privacy
Turn on reminder emails (weekly, monthly, or quarterly) so you remember to update. Your data is yours: we never sell, rent, or monetize it, and you can export or delete everything from Settings at any time.
